The Intake Analyst supports new business activities by performing conflict checks, conducting online research, maintaining databases, and assisting with onboarding and process improvements within a consulting firm specializing in economic and financial advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
Perform conflict checks for new business leads using the firm's conflict database
Conduct online research on companies to assess standing and relationships
Monitor conflict check results and ensure responses are received and appropriate notifications are made
Follow up to obtain missing responses or information
Maintain and update the conflicts database with accurate data entry
Respond to project update requests and miscellaneous inquiries from staff
Assist with the orientation of new staff members
Support the project number approval process
Identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions
Assist in development, testing, and implementation of new systems and processes
Support new business activities across all business lines
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, paralegal studies, or related discipline
Proficient in the use of MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to learn new software
Experience in conflict checking, litigation support, and/or business environment is preferred but not required
Demonstrated understanding of standard business policy, techniques, concepts, and practices and applies this knowledge in conflict checking situations
Ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal form
Ability to work in a team environment, meet multiple deadlines, and work effectively across organizational lines
Ability to self-motivate and work autonomously within a small team environment
Experience with online research using resources such as Mergent, D B, LexisNexis, Capital IQ, and the ability to scour the internet for information
Ability to recognize the value and validity of one article over another
Ability to perform conflict checks for all new business leads using the firm’s IntApp Open system
Ability to perform online company research using various industry standard resources to determine company standing and relationships
Ability to monitor conflict check results to ensure all required responses are received and notify appropriate personnel as necessary
Ability to follow up as needed to obtain responses
Ability to maintain and update conflicts database with required data entry
Ability to respond to project update requests as needed
Ability to assist with orientation of new staff and the project number approval process
Ability to respond to miscellaneous requests and inquiries from EAs and research staff
Ability to identify areas for process improvement and develop possible solutions
Ability to aid in development, testing, and implementation of new systems and processes as necessary
Willingness to spend one day per week working in the office, with flexibility for additional remote work during certain times of the year

Salary range of $50,000 to $58,000 annually, with variation based on experience and location
