Job Description
The Environmental Graphic Designer V is a senior professional responsible for leading the conceptual and detailed design of experiential graphics, signage, and wayfinding systems for high-end environments, collaborating with clients and project teams to create inspiring and innovative spatial experiences across various markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual and design development across multiple projects, managing team workflow and process.
- Translate client needs and ideas into compelling experiential graphic concepts.
- Design detailed solutions for signage, wayfinding, donor recognition, and interpretive exhibits.
- Manage projects and coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and outside consultants from start to finish.
- Review and oversee documentation, shop drawings, and submittals during construction.
- Mentor team members on technical skills, art direction, and storytelling strategies.
- Build and maintain client relationships, engaging in project delivery and business development.
- Guide business growth through marketing pursuits and internal initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field required.
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience required.
- Exceptional design portfolio demonstrating strong background in a variety of markets with a particular focus on high-end workplace environments.
- Strong typography skills.
- Robust communication skills and proven strategies for collaborating in fast-moving, complex project teams.
- Strong knowledge of signage and wayfinding design and methodology.
- Deep understanding of all aspects of experiential design required.
- Strong client leadership and technical leadership for production team large, complex projects.
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of latitude.
- Must be a critical thinker, highly analytical, and possess strong business acumen.
- Proficient in project management.
- Attention to detail a must.
- Proficiency on Mac in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required.
- Skills in Revit and SketchUp are a plus.
