Job Description

This senior leadership role involves developing and executing strategic plans to grow and lead a high-performing, diverse office team, while fostering a culture of innovative, Living-Centered Design, client engagement, and brand enhancement within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a high-performance, diverse, and inclusive leadership team for the Minneapolis office.
  • Create and implement a strategic business plan to drive office growth and align with firm-wide objectives.
  • Lead strategy development and execution to enhance market presence and differentiate the firm through innovative solutions.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the office and firm within the community and elevating the firm's reputation.
  • Foster a design-focused culture emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and innovation.
  • Partner with leaders to grow the office's top line revenue, aiming for a minimum of $2 million annually.
  • Identify, assess, and develop client leadership to strengthen client relationships and engagement processes.
  • Build and evaluate the senior talent team to support impact and growth initiatives.
  • Oversee office operations, including project management, risk management, and profitability practices.
  • Engage in high-level client partnership activities, including billable project work and client satisfaction efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 15 years minimum experience with a proven track record of business development success and top-line growth.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead a high-performance, diverse, and inclusive leadership team.
  • Experience in developing and implementing a strategic business plan for an office or organization.
  • Experience in growing office or organizational top-line revenue with a target of achieving a minimum of 2.0 million dollars per year.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and evaluate client leaders and implement client engagement processes, including providing mentorship and training.
  • Experience in evaluating and addressing senior talent needs to build a strong leadership team capable of expanding impact and growth.
  • Ability to establish actions to implement a business plan to grow top line, optimize collaboration and integration, and expand markets and services.
  • Experience in championing and implementing best practices in project management, risk management, process improvement, and office profitability.
  • Effective communication skills to represent office leadership and staff in firm-wide meetings, conferences, and internal communications.
  • Ability to develop and execute internal communication processes to keep staff informed and foster collaboration.
  • Willingness to devote approximately 45% of time to activities that advance the firm's brand and develop new business opportunities.
  • Willingness to devote approximately 30% of time to engaging and partnering with clients on billable project work, including providing high-level leadership and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Willingness to devote approximately 15% of time to office leadership activities such as strategy development, practice and market building, business practice support, recruiting, and staff development.
  • Effective communication skills to energize, inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion Living-Centered Design and promote an ethical culture.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability in professional responsibilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, approach risk management and mitigation effectively.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to execute strategy.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to champion collaboration, fairness, and entrepreneurial behavior, and demonstrate sound judgment and risk management.
  • Ability to work effectively with all staff levels and external partners to promote firm growth and impact.
