Job Description
This role involves leading and developing the Education market within CannonDesign's Denver office, focusing on business growth, client engagement, team leadership, and advancing innovative design solutions aligned with the firm's Living-Centered Design philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop high-performance, diverse teams focused on the Education market.
- Develop and implement the Market Business Plan to drive market growth and differentiation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships to achieve revenue targets.
- Engage directly with clients on billable project work and serve as a client leader or subject matter expert.
- Promote the firm's brand externally and internally through speaking engagements, writing, and other activities.
- Advance strategic initiatives, market differentiation, and client pursuit strategies.
- Manage the overall top line results of the market, aiming for specific financial goals.
- Assess, mentor, recruit, and develop staff to build a high-performing, inclusive team.
- Lead market strategy development, including market intelligence, differentiation, and business practice support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
- Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering preferred.
- Must have 12 years minimum experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Education Market.
- Strong presentations skills are essential.
- Exceptional client and people leadership skills required.
- Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully is essential.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy is needed.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
- Some travel required.
