Job Description
A Data Visualization Senior Consultant responsible for creating impactful and clear data visualizations across various platforms, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting client projects with storytelling and strategic insights through data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design data visualizations to communicate insights and support decision-making
- Leverage expertise to shape data visualization strategies aligned with client goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create graphics, narratives, and data products
- Contribute to the development of tools and resources for stakeholders and clients
- Mentor team members to support professional growth in data visualization
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing to meet deadlines and firm priorities
- Travel as required to meet client and role needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience required.
- Experience creating data visualizations that distill insights, prioritize clarity, and support confident decision-making across diverse platforms.
- Experience leveraging data visualization strategies that resonate with clients and support project or engagement goals.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams to co-create graphics, narratives, deliverables, and data-dependent products.
- Experience contributing to the creation of impactful tools and resources for internal and external stakeholders, reflecting client goals in data visualizations and stories.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and align with firmwide priorities.
- Willingness to travel as necessitated by clients and role.
- Experience in presenting data-related work in written and spoken formats (preferred).
- Experience in consulting relevant to target markets such as Health, Commercial, Education, Federal, Sustainability, Science Technology, and Civic (preferred).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to find, validate, clarify, and illustrate meaningful insights.
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, R, Python, etc.
