The Well Drilling Site Superintendent oversees construction drilling sites for clean energy projects, managing safety, compliance, team supervision, project scheduling, and communication with clients to ensure efficient and successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage all aspects of construction drilling job sites to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with project plans, schedules, and budgets
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including securing permits and inspections
Lead, motivate, and mentor on-site teams, including subcontractors and crew members, to achieve high productivity and quality
Communicate project progress, issues, and delays to management and clients, providing solutions as needed
Establish and modify job site schedules and timelines for project completion
Address and mitigate risks to maintain worker safety and project integrity
Requirements
HS Diploma Required, Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or similar preferred
Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
Ability to travel to various locations as required by the job
5 years of experience managing construction job sites
Strong project management and communications skills
Ability to read construction documents
Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
All other duties and projects assigned (implying flexibility and adaptability in job responsibilities)
This position does have supervisory responsibility
Work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, with an expectation of an average of forty (40) hours per week including overtime as scheduled
Travel required 100% in the greater Northeast Region of the United States (CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ, MD), willing to be away from home Monday through Friday, with scheduled Saturdays, lodging and travel reimbursement provided for overnight stays
This is a safety sensitive position, requiring pre-employment background check, criminal history check, and pre-employment drug screen, and compliance with DOT regulations 49 CFR 40.25 regarding drug and alcohol testing records
Ability to perform physical demands necessary for the role, as this is a safety sensitive position
Work site setting involves field work, implying physical mobility and ability to work in construction environments
