Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel, gasoline, small engines, and hydraulic systems
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
Operate and maintain service trucks and field repair equipment
Travel to job sites for on-site repairs and field service support
Supervise and manage a team of mechanics or field technicians when required
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and maintain accurate service records
Requirements
Must have a Class A CDL license.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel, gasoline, and small engine repair.
Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline engines, including small engines and hydraulic systems.
Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on a variety of equipment.
Ability to operate and maintain service trucks and equipment necessary for field repairs.
Willingness to travel for fieldwork as necessary, with travel required 75% in the Northeast region.
Must reside within 40 miles of Rock Tavern, NY.
Strong mechanical background with knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, and welding fabrication is a plus.
Experience in managing a team or leading a shop or field service crew.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime eligibility as per applicable laws.
Must meet physical demands of the position, as it is a safety-sensitive role.
Must pass pre-employment background check, criminal history check, and pre-employment drug screen, including DOT drug and alcohol testing records if applicable.
