Job Description
The Software Engineer will develop and implement real-time motion planning algorithms for autonomous vehicles, integrating machine learning and ensuring production-grade software quality to support Aurora's self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop real-time algorithms for selecting safe and comfortable trajectories for autonomous vehicles
- Integrate motion planning with machine learning to create verifiable AI systems
- Design and implement production-grade software for the Aurora Driver
- Create metric suites and testing workflows for rapid algorithm iteration
Requirements
- A Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Robotics, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of strong programming and software design skills in Python and/or C++, especially in low latency or real-time environments.
- Experience in designing, building, and productionizing motion planning algorithms, including cost function design, optimization, or sampling-based techniques.
Benefits & Perks
Base salary range: 126,000 - 201,000 per year
