Job Description
This position involves leading survey teams, managing survey projects, preparing survey documents, reviewing engineering plans, mentoring staff, and ensuring project budgets and schedules are met within a surveying and land development context.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and review survey work performed by staff surveyors and technicians
- Prepare and review survey documents, including legal descriptions, control sheets, boundary calculations, and plats
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and proposals to ensure timely and within-budget completion
- Maintain client relationships and participate in marketing and business development efforts
- Organize and maintain survey project files and documentation
- Mentor and train survey staff, conduct staff reviews, and resolve HR issues
- Ensure quality control of survey deliverables and compliance with standards
- Coordinate with other disciplines and sub-consultants on multi-discipline projects
- Monitor project billing, unbilled time, and address past due accounts
- Assist in field surveying tasks as needed
Requirements
- 6-10 years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Licensed Land Surveyor.
