Job Description
The Project Manager role in Atwell's Civil Engineering group involves managing diverse projects, collaborating with teams on site plans and construction documents, analyzing survey data, mentoring junior staff, and utilizing engineering software to support construction and design efforts, with opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, easements, and condo documents
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering license or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe.
- Experience in project collaboration, including assisting in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
- Experience analyzing project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Experience guiding and assisting junior staff to ensure project tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Proficiency in preparing reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, and storm sewer reports.
- Experience providing construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages.
- Ability to develop project management skills through training and mentoring, with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment.
