Job Description
A Systems Engineering Manager at Pure Storage leads and develops a high-performing team of pre-sales Systems Engineers, driving technical sales strategies and solutions for enterprise storage, cloud, and AI-driven data solutions to support customer growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of pre-sales Systems Engineers in the Commercial organization.
- Guide technical demand creation, validation, and support for storage solutions.
- Refine sales strategies and tactics, translating customer needs into technical solutions.
- Demonstrate technical leadership and domain expertise in storage products and architectures.
- Support customer requirements analysis and develop innovative storage solutions to meet their needs.
- Respond to RFI and RFP processes to support sales opportunities.
- Identify and promote new opportunities for interoperability, testing, and validation.
- Stay informed on market trends and competitive landscape to promote thought leadership.
Requirements
- 5 years of Management experience leading high performing Sales Engineers selling in Enterprise Accounts
- 10 years experience supporting the sales of storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large accounts and data centers
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client server and web-based computing solutions
- Prior experience in setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and converting them into clients
- Knowledge of business impact of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP IP and general networking
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
