Job Description
The role involves leading and developing a high-performing team of Systems Engineers in the storage and data solutions industry, driving technical sales strategies, supporting customer needs with innovative storage architectures, and promoting market leadership in data storage technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of pre-sales Systems Engineers.
- Guide technical demand creation, validation, and customer solution development.
- Refine sales strategies and tactics to promote storage solutions and drive customer engagement.
- Demonstrate technical leadership in storage architectures, distributed storage, and related products.
- Translate customer business needs into innovative storage solutions to support growth.
- Support proposal responses, RFIs, and RFPs to secure new business opportunities.
- Identify and promote interoperability, performance testing, and validation opportunities.
- Stay informed on market trends and competitive landscape to foster thought leadership.
- Support team strategy for acquiring and converting prospects into clients.
Requirements
- 5 years of Management experience leading high performing Sales Engineers selling in Enterprise Accounts
- 10 years experience supporting the sales of storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large accounts and data centers
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client server and web-based computing solutions
- Prior experience in setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and converting them into clients
- Knowledge of business impact of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP IP and general networking
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
