Job Description
The role involves managing civil engineering projects by collaborating on site plans, analyzing survey data, mentoring junior staff, preparing technical reports, supporting construction activities, and utilizing engineering software, with opportunities for professional growth into project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze project survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, surveys, easements, and condo documents
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient execution of project tasks
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies, project schedules, and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring with the potential to advance into a Project Manager role
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering licensure or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe.
- Experience in civil engineering project management or related roles, with a preference for experience in site plans, construction documents, and survey data analysis.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages.
- Ability to analyze project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Experience in preparing reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, storm sewer reports, and other technical documents.
- Experience providing construction-related services, including permit applications and quantity estimates.
- Ability to guide and assist junior staff, demonstrating leadership and mentorship skills.
- Strong technical skills in civil engineering design, data analysis, and construction support.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with production teams on site plans and construction documents.
- Ability to develop project schedules and ensure assignments are completed on time and within budget.
- Willingness to develop project management skills through training and mentoring, with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
