Job Description
The Project Manager for Atwell's Civil Engineering group oversees diverse land development projects, collaborating with teams, analyzing site data, guiding junior staff, preparing technical reports, supporting construction activities, and utilizing engineering software, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze project survey data, legal descriptions, easements, and related documents to assess existing site conditions
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient execution of project tasks
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering license or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe.
- Experience in project collaboration, including assisting in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
- Experience analyzing project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Ability to guide and assist junior staff to ensure project-based tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Proficiency in preparing reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, storm sewer reports, and other technical documents.
- Experience providing construction-related services, including permit applications and quantity estimates.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages.
- Demonstrated ability to develop project management skills through training and mentoring, with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment, managing projects of varying sizes and complexities.
