Job Description
The role involves collaborating with team members to design residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including site layout, utility, roadway, stormwater, and permitting tasks, primarily using AutoCAD Civil 3D, with opportunities for client interaction and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design residential, commercial, and industrial site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Prepare conceptual site layouts, grading analyses, and site layout plans
- Conduct site analysis reports, utility computations, stormwater management, and earthwork analysis
- Assist in producing final construction drawings and permit applications
- Support project managers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Attend client and public meetings to communicate project details
- Participate in business development activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in site design or related engineering field.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary to complete projects.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a variety of people.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to frequently sit and talk or hear, occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work outdoors in weather conditions occasionally for extended periods.
