Job Description

A Project Manager in Atwell's Civil Engineering group responsible for overseeing diverse land development projects, collaborating with teams, analyzing survey data, providing technical reports, supporting construction activities, mentoring junior staff, and utilizing engineering software to ensure project success and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
  • Analyze project survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, surveys, and easements
  • Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
  • Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
  • Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
  • Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering project management or a similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
  • Experience analyzing project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
  • Ability to guide and assist junior staff members, ensuring project tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong technical skills to prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, and storm sewer reports.
  • Experience providing construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates.
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages to complete assignments on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop project management skills through training and mentoring, with potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
