Job Description
The Project Coordinator at Atwell, LLC is responsible for supporting project management activities, coordinating client communications, assembling project teams, monitoring project progress, and ensuring quality standards to achieve project profitability and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, providing a professional and welcoming experience for clients and visitors
- Represent Atwell in all communications with clients
- Coordinate and assemble project teams and monitor project progress
- Assist the Project Manager in implementing project plans, determining schedules, budgets, and staffing
- Analyze design, client requirements, and performance standards to ensure work quality
- Monitor project status by collecting and analyzing information and trends
- Support business development through marketing, proposals, and client relationship building
- Coach, mentor, and evaluate project team members to ensure performance
- Maintain project files and documentation
- Ensure product quality and adherence to standards
- Attend educational workshops and participate in professional networks to maintain technical knowledge
- Assist with project control activities, including budget management, scope adjustments, and contract negotiations
- Support project financials by managing budgets, expenditures, and invoicing
- Assist in organizing project teams and assigning responsibilities
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in civil engineering, environmental, land planning, survey, or related field
- Ability to apply fundamental engineering, environmental, land planning, and survey concepts independently
- Excellent communication skills for serving as the first point of contact at the front desk, representing Atwell in all communications with clients, and communicating with Atwell management and team members
- Ability to coordinate and assemble project teams, assist with project planning, and monitor project status by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Experience in analyzing design, client requirements, and performance standards to assure work product quality
- Ability to develop future business through marketing support, presentations, and following up on proposals, and proactively building and maintaining client relationships
- Experience in coaching, counseling, and mentoring team members, and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results to ensure project team performance
- Ability to maintain project files by collecting and organizing project materials
- Knowledge of and ability to follow Atwell’s Product Quality Manual and established standards to ensure product quality and uphold the company’s reputation
- Willingness to attend educational workshops, review professional and market segment publications, establish personal networks, and participate in professional societies and trade associations to maintain professional and technical knowledge
- Ability to meet or exceed designated chargeability and hours worked to achieve performance objectives
- Experience in applying fundamental engineering, environmental, land planning, and survey concepts independently
- Experience in assisting with project control by adhering to project parameters, recommending changes, and managing project budgets and schedules
- Experience in negotiating scope or contract changes, invoicing, collecting payments, and initiating corrective actions
- Ability to assist in organizing project teams, including working with the Project Manager to assemble and direct team members, assign responsibilities, and recommend sub-consultants
- Experience in maintaining project budgets and schedules, approving expenditures, analyzing variances, and reporting results to management
- Physical ability to perform receptionist duties and serve as the first point of contact at the front desk
- Educational background including a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering, Environmental, Land Planning, or Surveying (implied by the context of applying fundamental concepts and professional knowledge)
