Job Description
A Tax Manager in Construction at Aprio is responsible for leading tax strategies and providing exceptional client service within the construction industry, helping clients optimize their tax opportunities while working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tax strategies for construction clients to minimize tax liabilities
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations relevant to the construction industry
- Provide tax planning and consulting services tailored to construction projects and companies
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, with specific experience in the construction industry.
- Hold a CPA license or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrate expertise in tax planning, compliance, and consulting specifically related to construction industry clients.
- Have a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws applicable to the construction industry.
- Ability to develop and implement tax strategies that can reduce clients' tax liabilities.
- Excellent client service skills with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to tax issues in the construction sector.
- Experience with tax software and related technology tools used in tax compliance and planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Willingness to stay current with industry changes, tax laws, and continuing professional education requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to a positive, high-performance culture.
