Job Description
The Counsel, Development will support the development, construction, and operation of large-scale renewable energy and digital infrastructure projects, working closely with development and real estate teams on legal issues related to project financing, permitting, interconnection, and real estate matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development, construction, and operation of large-scale power and digital infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with development and real estate teams on project delivery, including solar, energy storage, thermal, and digital grid-connected projects.
- Handle complex legal issues related to early-stage project development and financing, including mergers and acquisitions, permitting, interconnection, and real estate matters.
Requirements
- Significant experience with complex issues in early-stage development and financing for power generation projects and data center development, including M A, permitting, interconnection, and real estate matters.
- Ability to support Copia’s mission to develop, construct, and operate gigawatt-scale campuses that include power and digital assets.
- Experience working closely with development and real estate teams to deliver solar, energy storage, thermal, and digital grid-connected projects.
- Reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel in an individual contributor capacity.
