Job Description
The Senior Advisor in Nonprofit Consulting at Aprio leads interim CFO engagements, providing strategic financial assessment, process improvement, and management services to nonprofit clients, while collaborating with a high-performing team in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage interim CFO client engagements for nonprofit organizations.
- Plan, execute, and oversee engagements within the firm's service pillars, including finance assessment, audit facilitation, system implementation, financial analysis, and grants management.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of consulting services and solutions.
Requirements
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and project management skills as well as the ability to adapt to different client environments.
- Experience leading interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) client engagements within a nonprofit or related setting.
- Ability to successfully plan, lead, and manage engagements within the scope of the 5th business pillar of service, which includes Finance Department Assessment and Process Improvement, Audit Facilitation and Accounting Research, Chart of Account Redesign and System Implementation, Financial Analysis, Policy Evaluation and Management Collaboration, Interim Controller and CFO Services, and Single Audit Facilitation, Uniform Guidance Support, and Grants Management.
- Availability to accept and lead interim CFO client engagements based on client requested skill sets, geographic location, and level of hours needed.
- Willingness to work between 24 and 32 hours per week, not exceeding 40 hours, and be paid at the noted hourly rate based on hours worked.
- Educational background or professional experience sufficient to perform high-level financial consulting and interim CFO services in a nonprofit context (implied but not explicitly specified).
