Job Description
The Audit Manager will lead and oversee audit engagements for clients, ensuring compliance with standards while providing strategic insights. They will work within a dynamic, growth-oriented CPA and advisory firm to help clients maximize opportunities and support firm expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee audit engagements for construction clients
- Plan, execute, and review audit procedures to ensure compliance with standards
- Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients
- Manage and coordinate audit teams to ensure timely completion of audits
- Ensure quality control and adherence to regulatory requirements during audits
Requirements
- Candidates must have experience in auditing, specifically in managing audit engagements for clients, demonstrating the ability to oversee and execute audit procedures effectively.
- Candidates must possess a CPA license or be in the process of obtaining one, as the role involves CPA firm services and support for CPA-related programs.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in public accounting or a similar auditing environment, with a proven track record of managing audit teams and client relationships.
- Candidates must have strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other relevant accounting and auditing standards.
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent leadership and team management skills to lead and develop audit staff and ensure high-quality work.
- Candidates must have the ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to clients and team members.
- Candidates must be able to work in a flexible working environment, including remote and hybrid options, and adapt to changing client needs and deadlines.
- Candidates must have a solid understanding of the firm's industry sectors and the specific audit procedures applicable to those industries.
- Candidates must be committed to continuous professional development and growth, including participating in CPA support programs and ongoing learning initiatives.
- Candidates must be able to handle multiple audit engagements simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Candidates must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to auditing and professional conduct.
