Job Description
A Senior Software Development Engineer at Amperity develops advanced data pipelines, integrates AI capabilities, and builds user experiences to help clients unlock and utilize their customer data for strategic insights and improved customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop advanced data pipelines for large structured and unstructured data
- Create full-stack experiences and tools for data visualization and insights
- Integrate the system into clients' data ecosystems to enhance data utilization
- Build and maintain scalable applications on big data technologies such as Trino, Athena, or Spark
- Take ownership of product features and ensure their successful deployment in production
- Stay current with industry trends and participate in professional development activities
- Design and implement user experiences on complex technology platforms
Requirements
- 8 or more years of experience developing commercial software systems.
- Experience building applications on big data technologies such as Trino, Athena, or Spark.
- Experience in a software engineering environment where ownership was taken to get products and features released in a production environment.
- Experience with or willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge, including technologies like Clojure! in a production environment.
- Ability to stay informed about relevant technology trends and developments and investigate new technologies.
- Passionate about building elegant user experiences on top of complex technology.
- Team player, collaborative, inclusive, and motivated by customer success.
- Location in Seattle, WA with the ability to work in a hybrid model including three days in the office each week.

Base salary range of $170,000 - $230,000
