Job Description
The Staff Software Engineer will lead the design and development of large-scale data systems for autonomous vehicle technology, focusing on multimodal sensor data, ML datasets, and infrastructure to improve data discoverability, throughput, and latency, while mentoring engineering teams and contributing to Aurora's commercial driver products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale data systems handling multimodal sensor data, simulations, and ML datasets
- Improve discoverability, throughput, and latency of offline data systems
- Create internal products and best practices to enhance efficiency, transparency, and innovation in launching the Aurora Driver product
- Mentor and grow the engineering team with new perspectives, technologies, and designs
Requirements
- Experience designing and deploying customer-facing large-scale data management systems.
- Experience with development and deployment of machine learning (ML) pipelines infrastructure.
- Proven leadership in product development and launch.
- At least 8 years of experience working with AWS infrastructure, including S3, Aurora, SQS, and SNS in a production environment.
- At least 5 years of Golang development experience.
- At least 8 years of C/C++ development experience.
- At least 8 years of Python development experience.
- At least 8 years of experience working with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
