Job Description

A leadership role responsible for developing and executing customer marketing strategies to drive product adoption, retention, expansion, and advocacy, while managing a team and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance customer engagement and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and priorities for customer marketing aligned with company goals.
  • Manage, coach, and support a team of four direct reports to deliver strategic impact across customer lifecycle marketing, expansion campaigns, advocacy programs, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Product, Operations, and Marketing to align customer marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Lead strategic initiatives such as developing a customer journey map and a customer marketing attribution model to inform program design and measure performance.
  • Analyze performance data and insights to optimize marketing strategies, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage the customer marketing budget to maximize ROI and ensure alignment with growth targets.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with 3 years focused specifically on customer marketing, retention lifecycle, or growth.
  • 3 years of experience managing and developing high-performing direct reports.
  • Passion for leading integrated programs that increase product adoption, reduce churn, and drive expansion pipeline.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling customer advocacy programs that turn happy customers into raving fans.
  • Experience growing an online and in-person customer community that drives engagement, knowledge-sharing, and product adoption.
  • Strong familiarity with building marketing programs across multiple channels including email, in-app, gifting, events, webinars, and digital community platforms.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with a track record of building strong partnerships with Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams.
  • Data-savvy mindset with the ability to build dashboards, report on KPIs, and turn insights into action.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong copywriting skills with experience leveraging AI to increase output.
  • Familiarity with tools like Gainsight, Salesforce, Sendoso, and Outreach is preferred.
