Job Description
A Security Engineer at AlertMedia is responsible for implementing and improving security controls across the company's platform and infrastructure, supporting compliance efforts, and engaging with customers during security reviews to ensure the protection of data and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering to implement security controls in product and infrastructure
- Design, implement, and improve security controls across AWS infrastructure and applications
- Enhance monitoring and detection capabilities for security and incident response
- Support security reviews and architecture discussions with enterprise customers
- Communicate technical security concepts to cross-functional teams and customers
- Maintain security and compliance posture through collaboration with engineering, sales, IT, and legal teams
Requirements
- 3 years of Security, Compliance, and Security Engineering experience
- Experience supporting SOC 2 and/or ISO audits
- Hands-on experience securing AWS environments including IAM, VPC, KMS, WAF, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Macie
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management, Encryption Standards, Cloud Infrastructure, and tooling
- Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
- Experience supporting customer security reviews
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Highly organized with the ability to succeed in an ever-changing environment
- Self-starter and team player, willing to jump in as needed
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding support
