Job Description
The Project Architect will lead the technical development and execution of large, complex projects or multiple smaller projects, ensuring compliance and coordination across all disciplines from pre-design through project completion.
Responsibilities
- •Lead the development of technical aspects and content for large, complex projects or multiple smaller projects.
- •Manage critical path process from pre-design through project completion.
- •Engage with the Office or Project Quality Leader for project support.
- •Establish and maintain work and labor plans with the Project Manager.
- •Contribute to the Project Risk Assessment process.
- •Identify, communicate, mitigate, and resolve project-related issues.
- •Guide Project Architects in developing Project Quality Plans.
- •Review and execute the documentation strategy for drawing deliverables.
- •Collaborate with Project Design Lead to align design aspirations with project goals.
- •Translate project design intent through technical documentation and construction phases.
- •Integrate building performance and sustainable design goals into project solutions.
- •Monitor project documentation and compliance with contractual obligations.
- •Guide Project Architects in Life Safety, Building, and Energy Code compliance.
- •Coordinate all disciplines with architectural design intent.
- •Monitor quality of model processes and deliverables with the Model Manager.
- •Align contract documentation with Project Specification Writer.
- •Lead Construction Administration phase responsibilities, including RFIs and submittals.
- •Train and direct project team members on technical quality and process standards.
Requirements
- •Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
- •Minimum 10 years of related professional experience required.
- •Experience must include 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects and at least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects.
- •Previous experience on large, complex projects which includes health, education and S&T markets.
- •Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
- •Demonstrated focus on quality.
- •Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- •Must possess business acumen.
- •Must have strong client leadership skills.
- •Must have strong technical leadership skills for production team.
- •Must be capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
- •Must have advanced knowledge in discipline.
- •Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- •Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software required.
