Job Description
The Interconnection Transmission Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to secure interconnection and transmission rights for geothermal energy projects, managing application processes, and coordinating with internal teams and external utilities to ensure timely project development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for interconnection and transmission rights acquisition
- File interconnection and transmission applications with utilities and regulatory bodies
- Manage processes related to interconnection and transmission to ensure timely project delivery
- Coordinate with internal teams and third-party consultants on interconnection and transmission matters
- Build and maintain relationships with utilities and stakeholders involved in interconnection and transmission
Requirements
- Experience in managing interconnection and transmission processes for energy projects, including filing applications and managing related processes to ensure timely project delivery.
- Ability to build and execute a strategic plan for when, where, and how to file interconnection requests and transmission applications.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain key relationships with utilities and third-party stakeholders involved in interconnection and transmission processes.
- Experience in obtaining interconnection and transmission rights that align with project in-service goals for geothermal or similar energy projects.
- Strong coordination skills to work closely with internal teams and external consultants in managing all aspects of interconnection and transmission across WECC.
- Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional alignment among teams to support interconnection and transmission objectives.
