Job Description
The Interconnection Transmission Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to secure interconnection and transmission rights for geothermal energy projects, managing application processes, and coordinating with internal teams and external utilities to ensure timely project development and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for interconnection and transmission rights for geothermal projects
- Manage the process of filing interconnection and transmission applications
- Coordinate with internal teams and third-party consultants to ensure timely project interconnection and transmission approvals
- Build and maintain relationships with utilities and relevant stakeholders
- Ensure alignment of interconnection and transmission activities with project timelines and goals
Requirements
- Experience in managing interconnection and transmission processes for energy projects, including filing applications and managing related processes to ensure timely project delivery.
- Ability to build and execute a strategy for interconnection and transmission rights, including planning when, where, and how to file new requests.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain key relationships with utilities and other stakeholders involved in interconnection and transmission processes.
- Experience working in coordination with cross-functional teams and third-party consultants to manage interconnection and transmission activities across WECC.
- Demonstrated understanding of interconnection and transmission rights acquisition processes within the WECC region.
- Strong project management skills to ensure projects are placed in-service on schedule by obtaining necessary interconnection and transmission rights.
- Ability to develop and implement plans for interconnection and transmission requests aligned with project timelines and goals.
