Job Description
A finance professional will support Wunder's financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions, helping to build budgets, forecasts, and financial models while providing data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions in a renewable energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development and maintenance of company budgets and forecasts
- Conduct variance analysis between actuals and budgets, providing insights on key trends
- Update financial models and reporting dashboards
- Build and maintain reports tracking KPIs, revenue performance, and departmental spend
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial reporting
- Assist with preparing Board and investor reporting materials
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses to support business decisions
- Evaluate new initiatives and assess ROI through cross-functional collaboration
- Refine and improve FP&A processes, tools, and documentation
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or analytics, ideally in a corporate or fast-paced startup setting
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to work comfortably with large datasets
- Experience in financial modeling, SQL, or Business Intelligence (BI) tools is preferred
- Ability to support development and maintenance of company budgets and forecasts
- Ability to assist in variance analysis between actuals and budget, providing insights on key trends
- Experience in updating financial models and reporting dashboards
- Ability to partner with accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial reporting
- Experience in building and maintaining reports that track KPIs, revenue performance, and departmental spend
- Ability to assist with Board and investor reporting materials
- Capability to conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support business decisions
- Experience in collaborating cross-functionally to evaluate new initiatives and assess ROI
- Ability to identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data visibility in FP&A processes
- Willingness to work in person at the Boulder office; candidates must currently live in or be willing to relocate to Boulder or Denver, CO
