Job Description
The Stormwater Project Engineer supports the development, design, permitting, and construction of stormwater and flood resiliency projects across the New York, New Jersey, and New England regions, collaborating with municipal clients to improve flood resilience and water quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with municipal clients to develop, design, permit, and provide construction services for stormwater and flood resiliency projects.
- Support evaluation, planning, and design of urban stormwater solutions including flood risk mitigation and stormwater conveyance.
- Assist in construction oversight and implementation of stormwater management projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, technical specialists, and engineers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Engage in project activities across multiple regions, including travel to client sites within New York, New Jersey, and New England.
Requirements
- Support a diverse variety of stormwater and flood resiliency projects by evaluating, planning, designing, permitting, and constructing urban stormwater solutions, including flood risk mitigation, stormwater conveyance, stormwater quality, and programmatic funding.
- Work with client and project managers, technical specialists, and other engineers to support municipal clients across the New York, New Jersey, and New England regions.
- Be based in the Rye Brook office with the expectation of working 1 to 2 days in the office or onsite with clients.
- Travel up to 20% within the New York, New Jersey, and New England regions to meet project needs.
- Possess a detail-oriented approach suitable for supporting stormwater and flood resiliency projects.
- Support projects primarily spanning across five geographies in New York and the northeast, with opportunities to engage on projects around the country.
- Support clients on a wide range of activities including evaluating, planning, designing, permitting, and constructing urban stormwater solutions.
- Possess the ability to collaborate effectively with teams, including client and project managers, technical specialists, and other engineers.
- Have a minimum of a relevant degree in engineering or a related field (implied, as the role involves engineering support).
