Job Description
A Software Engineer at Voltus develops scalable software solutions to support the company's mission of integrating distributed energy resources and decarbonizing the grid, working on core systems such as APIs and data pipelines within a remote, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build scalable software components such as core APIs, data pipelines, and customer interfaces.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers on the modern tech stack to develop and improve systems.
- Design and implement software solutions using Python and related technologies like FastAPI, Postgres, and Delta Lake.
Requirements
- Candidates must have 2 years of full-time professional engineering experience.
- Candidates must be eager to build scalable software for Voltus.
- Candidates must be able to join a fully remote team and work primarily from their home country in the US or Canada.
- Candidates must have experience or ability to work with a modern tech stack that includes Python, FastAPI, Postgres, Delta Lake, Dagster, and Clickhouse.
- Candidates must have experience or ability to run services using Docker and the HashiCorp stack on AWS.
- Candidates must include a link to their GitHub account in their application; applications without a GitHub account will not be considered.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in their home location in the US or Canada; Voltus does not sponsor visas or transfers for new hires.
- Candidates must be able to work in an environment that complies with Voltus's limitations on where employees can work for regulatory and security reasons, primarily from their home country, with travel to other countries approved as per the Global Remote Travel Policy.
