Job Description
A Software Engineer at Voltus will build scalable software solutions, such as APIs and data pipelines, to support the company's mission of integrating distributed energy resources and decarbonizing the grid, working collaboratively within a remote, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build scalable software components such as APIs, data pipelines, and customer interfaces
- Collaborate with experienced engineers on the modern tech stack
- Contribute to core systems that support the decarbonization of the grid
Requirements
- Candidates must be eager to build scalable software for Voltus and be appropriate for entry level to early career engineering candidates.
- Candidates must have the ability to join a fully remote team and work primarily from their home country in the US or Canada, with travel outside these countries requiring approval as per the company's Global Remote Travel Policy.
- Candidates must include a link to their GitHub account in their application; applications without a GitHub account will not be considered.
- Candidates must be authorized to work from their home location in the US or Canada; Voltus does not sponsor visas or transfers for new hires.
- Candidates must have experience or familiarity with Python, as the technology stack is primarily Python-based.
- Candidates must have experience or familiarity with some of the specific technologies used by Voltus, including FastAPI, Postgres, Delta Lake, Dagster, Clickhouse, Docker, and HashiCorp stack on AWS.
- Candidates should be capable of collaborating with experienced engineers on modern tech stacks and contributing to core systems that decarbonize the grid.
- Candidates must demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering a cleaner energy future and working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
