An Energy Markets Analyst focused on the ERCOT market, responsible for data management, program coordination, and supporting market strategy and regulatory advocacy to help customers profit from energy market participation in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimize data handling related to energy markets.
Support revenue planning and financial reporting in collaboration with Finance.
Engage in market-facing activities and stakeholder meetings within US business hours.
Assist in developing market strategies and regulatory advocacy efforts.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to develop market- and customer-facing products.
Contribute to program management initiatives within energy markets.
Requirements
Experience working with the ERCOT energy market, or a similar energy market, with a focus on data management and optimizing data handling processes.
Ability to work remotely from anywhere within the US or Canada, with the capacity to participate in market-facing activities and hold meetings during continental US-based business hours.
Authorization to work legally from the candidate's home location in the US or Canada; visa sponsorship or transfers are not provided.
Strong analytical skills to support revenue planning and financial reporting in collaboration with Finance teams.
Ability to push for market changes and support regulatory advocacy efforts with Regulatory Affairs teams.
Experience in educating and equipping sales teams regarding energy markets and related products.
Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to develop market- and customer-facing products.
Initial focus on data management and process optimization related to handling energy market data.
Program management skills to oversee projects related to energy market activities.
Ability to develop market strategy and support regulatory advocacy as the role progresses.
Excellent communication skills to engage with coworkers and stakeholders across various functions and locations.
Technical diligence and creativity to analyze and interpret energy market data and trends.
Commitment to working primarily from the candidate’s home country, with adherence to company policies on travel and remote work limitations.
