Job Description
A part-time remote role leading dispatch operations to activate distributed energy resources in North America, focusing on delivering power during grid dispatches while providing strategic coverage from the United Kingdom during early mornings on weekends and weekdays.
Key Responsibilities
- Activate distributed energy resources to deliver MW to the grid during dispatches
- Provide strategic coverage during North American night early mornings on weekends, Mondays, and Tuesdays
- Monitor and scrutinize processes, systems, and tools to ensure efficient dispatch execution
- Support tactical responsibilities related to grid dispatch operations
- Participate in weekly team meetings and occasional spot coverage
Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work from their home location in the United Kingdom and cannot be sponsored for visas or transfers at this time.
- Candidates must have the ability to work 4-hour shifts between 9am - 1pm GMT from Saturday through Tuesday, providing strategic coverage during North American night early mornings on weekends, Mondays, and Tuesdays.
- Candidates must be reliable and available to participate in 1-2 hours of weekly team meetings.
- Candidates must be able to work remotely from their home country, with working while traveling to other countries only permitted if approved according to the company's Global Remote Travel Policy.
- Candidates must have the ability to quickly activate distributed energy resources during dispatches to deliver MW to the grid, supporting the grid's needs during dispatch calls.
- Candidates must be willing to support tactical responsibilities related to dispatch operations and support strategic projects within the team.
- Candidates must be committed to working in a shift-based schedule that covers early morning hours during North American dispatches, specifically during weekends and the beginning of the week.
- Candidates must demonstrate a high level of availability and reliability to succeed in a 24/7 dispatch operations environment.
- Candidates must be able to build knowledge about grid operators and utilities in North America and interact regularly with large industrial and commercial energy users.
- Candidates must be able to scrutinize processes, systems, and tools constantly to ensure efficient delivery during dispatches.
