Job Description

The role involves prospecting, developing, and closing new business opportunities in the satellite imaging and geospatial data industry, working remotely in a dynamic sales environment to meet sales targets and support Planet's mission of using space technology to benefit life on Earth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities within an assigned territory
  • Manage and maintain account and opportunity information in Salesforce.com
  • Forecast sales pipeline and business opportunities
  • Upsell and cross-sell to existing customers and identify additional contacts
  • Achieve and surpass sales goals and quotas
  • Collaborate with marketing on seminars, trade shows, and marketing events

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in closing sales
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Relevant experience in the Defense industry
  • Experience coordinating small to medium transactions
  • Experience working within a quota and commission structure
  • Fluency in English, the language of our company
  • Experience using Salesforce.com
  • A track record of overachieving sales goals
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and have a results-oriented approach
