The role involves prospecting, developing, and closing new business opportunities in the satellite imaging and geospatial data industry, working remotely in a dynamic sales environment to meet sales targets and support Planet's mission of using space technology to benefit life on Earth.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities within an assigned territory
Manage and maintain account and opportunity information in Salesforce.com
Forecast sales pipeline and business opportunities
Upsell and cross-sell to existing customers and identify additional contacts
Achieve and surpass sales goals and quotas
Collaborate with marketing on seminars, trade shows, and marketing events
Requirements
Two years of experience in closing sales
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Relevant experience in the Defense industry
Experience coordinating small to medium transactions
Experience working within a quota and commission structure
Fluency in English, the language of our company
Experience using Salesforce.com
A track record of overachieving sales goals
Ability to work in a dynamic environment
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to be self-motivated and have a results-oriented approach
