Job Description
The role involves prospecting, developing, and closing new business opportunities in the satellite imaging and geospatial data industry, working remotely in a dynamic sales environment to meet sales targets and support Planet's mission of using space technology to benefit life on Earth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities within an assigned territory
- Manage and maintain account and opportunity information in Salesforce.com
- Forecast sales pipeline and business opportunities
- Upsell and cross-sell to existing customers and identify additional contacts
- Achieve and surpass sales goals and quotas
- Collaborate with marketing on seminars, trade shows, and marketing events
Requirements
- Two years of experience in closing sales
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Relevant experience in the Defense industry
- Experience coordinating small to medium transactions
- Experience working within a quota and commission structure
- Fluency in English, the language of our company
- Experience using Salesforce.com
- A track record of overachieving sales goals
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be self-motivated and have a results-oriented approach
