Job Description

The Program Lead, West Campaigns supports and manages strategies, grants, and collaborations to advance clean energy policies in the Western U.S., focusing on campaign development, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination to promote equitable climate solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage grants, contracts, proposals, reports, invoices, and reimbursements from start to finish.
  • Review grant proposals, ensure completeness, and prepare summaries for internal use.
  • Coordinate joint grants, shared contracts, and communicate with grantees and consultants.
  • Support and manage projects, activities, and events, including logistics and stakeholder communication.
  • Lead calls with grantees and consultants, representing EF and fostering information sharing.
  • Develop and monitor strategies by engaging with grantees, reviewing reports, and conducting research.
  • Prepare strategic documents, presentations, and reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Identify focus areas, liaise with stakeholders, and support strategy development and grantmaking.
  • Contribute to team improvement, maintain collaborative relationships, and uphold EF’s values.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with complex project management, campaign experience, customer partner relations, matrixed organizations, and at least an intermediate knowledge of clean energy and climate subject matter.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferably in a Mac environment, and familiarity with Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets, along with Box.
  • Experience using cloud-based relational database systems, such as Salesforce.
  • Experience supporting multiple priorities and juggling a variety of tasks for one or more individuals in a team environment, with superior time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to travel four to six times a year for two to four business days at a time.
  • Physical demands include extended hours at the computer and moderate levels of domestic travel.
  • The position requires the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the Western U.S. Pacific or Mountain time zones, with the capacity to perform essential functions in a remote-first work environment.
