Job Description
The Senior Engineer Project Manager - Traffic is responsible for leading the design of transportation infrastructure projects, managing client relationships, and contributing to business development efforts within a collaborative, hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex transportation infrastructure projects to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Manage project execution, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the Traffic and Planning Group Manager and Vice President to develop marketing strategies and proposals.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and agency representatives.
- Track prospective project opportunities and deliver client presentations.
- Optimize project costs and mitigate risks through innovative planning and execution.
Requirements
- Experience leading projects for designing complex, safe, and efficient transportation infrastructure systems.
- Ability to lead projects in the Greater Milwaukee market.
- Experience collaborating with a Traffic and Planning Group Manager and the Vice President of Surface Transportation Engineering.
- Experience contributing to the development of marketing plans, cultivating and maintaining relations with clients and agency representatives, tracking prospective opportunities, developing proposals, and delivering client presentations.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with in-office presence on Monday and Friday and WFH Tuesday through Thursday.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Experience in project management within transportation engineering or related fields.
- Experience in business development activities related to transportation projects.
- Completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
