Job Description
The Senior Wetland Scientist will perform wetland delineations and support environmental assessments for transportation and infrastructure projects across the upper Midwest, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure environmentally responsible design and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform wetland delineations across the upper Midwest on railroad structures, capacity expansion facilities, tracks, yards, and transportation projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support transportation infrastructure projects
- Travel locally and overnight up to approximately 25% of the time, including responding to emergency projects
Requirements
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Candidates must have the ability to travel frequently throughout the country for project assignments, including local and overnight travel during the growing season up to approximately 25 days.
- Candidates must be able to perform wetland delineations across the upper Midwest on railroad structures, railroad capacity expansion facilities, track, yards, and Department of Transportation projects.
- Candidates must be able to complete and pass a standard pre-employment background screening, which includes Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
- Candidates must be able to complete and pass any drug testing requests required by TKDA, clients, and applicable state and federal agencies.
