Job Description
A Professional Mechanical Engineer role focused on designing, developing, and supporting industrial and building mechanical systems for transportation infrastructure projects, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop plans, studies, and detailed designs for industrial mechanical systems and building systems.
- Create process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment layouts, and HVAC plumbing systems.
- Support construction administration by interpreting plans, observing operations, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project scope, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain quality standards.
Requirements
- Possess a Professional Mechanical Engineer license or the ability to obtain one in the state of Seattle.
- Experience in developing plans, studies, and detailed designs for industrial mechanical systems and building systems, including creating process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment layouts, and HVAC plumbing systems.
- Support construction administration activities, including interpreting plans, observing operations, and ensuring that work meets specifications.
- Ability to partner directly with clients and internal teams to define project scope, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain quality standards.
- Proficiency in working on a variety of projects such as fueling facilities, loading unloading systems, maintenance facilities, tank farms, pump houses, and railyard operations.
- Experience in interpreting plans and specifications to support construction activities and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, and Architecture professionals.
