Job Description
A strategic FP&A Analyst at Amperity will leverage AI and automation tools to enhance financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting processes, providing insights and analysis to support business decision-making and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support core financial models using AI and automation tools to improve forecast accuracy and reduce manual data manipulation
- Monitor, communicate, and analyze company performance across departments to support planning and decision-making
- Conduct deep-dive financial analyses on key drivers and translate data into operational insights
- Integrate AI workflows into financial reporting and variance analysis to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, executive presentations, and performance reviews
- Develop and maintain financial systems to streamline processes and enhance automation
- Support finance leadership with special projects, including M&A, integration, and pricing analyses
Requirements
- Five years of experience in FP A, strategic finance, or management consulting with demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders.
- Strong modeling experience, including distilling financial analyses for leadership teams.
- Experience supporting core functions such as maintaining 3-statement and driver-based financial models.
- Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to maximize forecast accuracy and minimize manual data manipulation.
- Experience with FP A tools such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, etc.
- Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
- Ability to work closely with different departments to monitor and communicate performance, coordinate company planning, and empower leaders to make data-supported decisions.
- Ability to conduct deep-dive analyses on key drivers and translate financial data into operational insights.
- Experience delivering monthly analysis and reporting that includes context, trend analysis, and forward-look recommendations.
- Experience in preparing monthly reporting materials, Board of Directors materials, executive management presentations, and project-based analyses.
- Ability to build, develop, and maintain financial systems to streamline processes and drive automation.
- Willingness to support finance leadership with special projects and ad hoc analyses including M&A, integration, and pricing.
- Curious nature with the ability to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and uncover insights to drive business value.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond when needed.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems and propose options with trade-offs.
- Excellent communication skills to convey financial insights effectively.
- Location in Seattle, WA, with the ability to work in a hybrid model including three days in the office each week.
