Job Description
A creative and data-driven Senior Social Media Manager responsible for building and executing the brand's social presence from scratch, primarily focusing on launching and growing a new direct-to-consumer mental health app through community engagement, storytelling, and strategic content across social platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop the brand's social media presence from the ground up.
- Create and execute social media strategies to drive user acquisition, trust, and organic growth.
- Develop and share compelling content that aligns with the brand's mission and resonates with the community.
- Leverage social platforms to support the pre-launch and launch of the mental health app.
- Engage with the community on sensitive mental health topics with empathy and clinical safety.
- Analyze social media data to inform content and strategy decisions.
- Act as the voice of the brand across social channels to foster a community-driven movement.
Requirements
- Experience in building and managing social media presence from the ground up, with a focus on brand building and community engagement.
- Ability to develop and execute social media strategies that leverage platforms for user acquisition, trust-building, and organic growth.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to turn a company's mission into engaging, viral content.
- Data-oriented strategist with the ability to understand and analyze social media data to inform content and growth strategies.
- Experience creating content that is sensitive to mental health topics, with empathy, flair, and an understanding of clinical safety considerations.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and work autonomously in a fast-moving, lean team environment, especially during pre-launch phases.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms as primary tools for marketing and community engagement.
- Excellent communication skills to serve as the voice of the brand and engage with the community effectively.
- Experience in working on direct-to-consumer (D2C) health or mental health products is preferred.
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal, as the position does not offer relocation assistance.
- Ability to work remotely with flexible working hours and manage work from home effectively.
