Job Description
The Plant and Equipment Maintenance Lead is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility equipment, supporting installations and upgrades, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment in a high-tech solar manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain facility equipment and services to ensure safety, compliance, and operational readiness
- Perform practical, hands-on tasks including repairs, small rig builds, and clean room maintenance
- Support installation, modification, and relocation of facility equipment
- Coordinate with external contractors and support safe chemical disposal
- Operate machinery, prototype equipment, and building services such as exhaust and air-conditioning systems
- Manage goods storage and support site operations to ensure efficiency
Requirements
- Experience or understanding of how a facility with diverse production equipment, fabrication areas, and warehouse operations functions.
- Comfortable working directly with machinery, prototype equipment, and building services.
- Ability to carry out practical, hands-on tasks including basic repairs, small rig builds, and clean room maintenance such as exhaust and air-conditioning systems.
- Proficiency in forklift operation.
- Ability to perform minor plumbing and electrical work.
- Experience in managing goods storage.
- Support in the installation, modification, and relocation of facility equipment.
- Ability to coordinate with external contractors.
- Support safe chemical disposal procedures.
- Ownership of maintaining facility equipment and services to ensure a safe, compliant, and operational environment.
- Willingness to perform a wide range of practical, hands-on tasks across the site.
- Full working rights in Australia; visa sponsorship not available.
