The Office Manager will oversee the smooth daily operation of SunDrive's R&D site, handling administrative tasks, coordinating logistics, supporting visitors and new staff, and ensuring the workspace functions efficiently in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and ensure the office is stocked, functional, and ready for daily operations
Coordinate travel arrangements for staff and visitors
Assist in hosting visitors and preparing for official visits
Set up and organize team events, meetings, and lunches
Support onboarding of new employees by preparing workspace and supplies
Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors
Identify and resolve operational issues promptly
Collaborate with People Culture, executives, and technical teams to streamline daily office activities
Requirements
Proven experience in a practical, organised, and proactive Office Manager role, with the ability to keep an office running smoothly in a dynamic startup environment.
Ability to coordinate travel arrangements, organise suppliers, and assist with hosting visitors.
Experience in setting up and preparing workspaces for new starters to ensure they are ready to work effectively.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage daily office operations such as keeping the office stocked and functional.
Ability to handle small operational problems independently and efficiently before they escalate.
Comfortable working closely with teams including People Culture, executives, and technical staff to support the day-to-day running of the office.
Ability to organise and coordinate events such as team lunches and government visits.
Hands-on approach and ability to undertake a variety of operational tasks as needed.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members, suppliers, and visitors.
Physical ability to perform office-related tasks, including setting up meeting spaces and handling office supplies.
Full working rights in Australia; candidates must be legally permitted to work in Australia without visa sponsorship.
Experience in a start-up or fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly is preferred.
