Job Description
The Senior Platform Engineer at STX is responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining cloud-based systems and infrastructure to support AI-driven trading and decarbonization strategies, focusing on automation, security, and platform evolution across global offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, automate, and evolve cloud-based systems for trading, risk, and decarbonization processes.
- Promote adoption of AI-assisted workflows and tools to enhance automation and creativity.
- Enhance citizen development platforms for scalable automation by trading and front-office teams.
- Maintain and optimize secure, scalable cloud environments across Azure and AWS.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling to increase operational efficiency.
- Implement security monitoring, alerting, and resilience frameworks for cloud and infrastructure security.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6 - 8 years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Experience with managing production Kubernetes clusters and hybrid connectivity.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automation, tooling, and infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Development Kit (CDK), or similar, and experience building robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing secure, scalable cloud environments across Azure and AWS.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex system issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across distributed teams and balance autonomy with transparency.
- Living in the Netherlands (or willingness to relocate to the respective office location).
