Job Description
The role involves trading and developing strategies in environmental commodity markets, building client relationships, and analyzing market trends to support STX's expansion in North American and international sustainability markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of environmental commodity markets and regulatory frameworks
- Collaborate with senior traders and sales professionals to originate and execute transactions
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate and institutional market participants
- Identify commercial opportunities and market inefficiencies
- Manage and grow a portfolio of clients and trading relationships
- Monitor market developments, pricing trends, and regulatory changes
- Contribute to expanding STX's presence across North American and international markets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong commercial drive and entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze complex markets and translate insights into opportunities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Demonstrated interest in energy markets, sustainability, or commodity trading
- Working rights in the United States and based in or willing to relocate to New York, NY
