Job Description
A Senior Analyst at Cypress Creek Renewables supports project valuation, financial modeling, and transaction analysis for solar, storage, and natural gas assets, contributing to investment decisions and corporate development activities within a purpose-driven renewable energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project valuation for solar, storage, and natural gas assets
- Perform project finance modeling, including valuation, capital sources, and debt/tax equity analysis
- Assist in transaction support for project financings, asset acquisitions, and sales
- Develop investment recommendation memos evaluating risk and return profiles
- Conduct valuation and investment analysis for financial sponsors and the Board of Directors
- Collaborate with engineering, development, and operations teams to develop valuation theses for key markets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS), with MBAs being welcome.
- At least three years of Excel-based financial modeling experience, with a preference for experience in solar, storage, or gas valuation.
- At least three years of finance experience in investment banking, private equity, principal investing, structured project finance, corporate development, or corporate finance.
- Knowledge of energy markets and a variety of energy technologies.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong desire to work in the energy industry.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and accountability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis.
- Successful completion of an Excel-based modeling test will be required.
- Located or able to relocate to San Francisco or New York City.
