A Solar Site Assessor is responsible for conducting on-site evaluations of commercial and industrial properties to gather structural, spatial, and electrical data that support the planning, design, and permitting of solar energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site evaluations of commercial and industrial properties, including rooftop and ground-level assessments.
Collect structural, spatial, and electrical data to inform solar system design and installation.
Ensure project feasibility, accuracy, and compliance from initial evaluation through permit submission.
Utilize site documentation tools such as GIS software and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Perform accurate on-site evaluations of commercial and industrial properties, including rooftop and ground-level assessments, to support solar energy project planning and execution.
Collect and document critical structural, spatial, and electrical data necessary to inform solar system design and installation.
Possess a strong understanding of construction principles relevant to assessing solar project sites.
Follow field safety practices to ensure safe assessment procedures on-site.
Utilize site documentation tools such as GIS software and Microsoft Dynamics 365 effectively during assessments.
Ensure project feasibility, accuracy, and compliance from initial evaluation through to permit submission by working closely with engineering, sales, and project management teams.
