Job Description
A Senior Solar Project Manager responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of commercial solar PV projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring successful project delivery, safety, quality, and budget adherence while mentoring project teams and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of commercial solar PV projects throughout their full lifecycle
- Ensure successful project execution on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards
- Mentor and develop Project Managers to promote consistency and best practices
- Partner with Engineering, Construction, Safety, Procurement, Finance, and external stakeholders to coordinate project delivery
- Maintain accountability for portfolio-level budget, schedule, safety, quality, and risk management
Requirements
- Experience leading and overseeing a portfolio of commercial solar PV projects across their full lifecycle.
- Ability to successfully execute individual projects and mentor and develop Project Managers.
- Experience driving consistency and best practices across multiple projects.
- Full accountability for portfolio-level budget, schedule, safety, quality, and risk management.
- Partnering closely with Engineering, Construction, Safety, Procurement, Finance, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within approved financial targets.
- Based in the Illinois Greater Chicago area or willing to relocate with assistance.
- Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget in the solar or related renewable energy industry.
