Job Description

A Senior Solar Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of commercial solar PV projects throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring successful project execution, safety, quality, and budget adherence while mentoring other project managers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee a portfolio of commercial solar PV projects throughout their full lifecycle
Ensure successful project execution, including meeting budget, schedule, safety, quality, and risk management goals
Mentor and develop Project Managers to promote consistency and best practices across projects
Partner with Engineering, Construction, Safety, Procurement, Finance, and external stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, and within financial targets

Requirements

Experience leading and overseeing a portfolio of commercial solar PV projects across their full lifecycle.
Ability to successfully execute individual projects while mentoring and developing Project Managers.
Experience driving consistency and best practices across multiple projects.
Full accountability for portfolio-level budget, schedule, safety, quality, and risk management.
Partnering closely with Engineering, Construction, Safety, Procurement, Finance, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within approved financial targets.
Based in the Illinois Greater Chicago area or willing to relocate with assistance.
Strong leadership and organizational skills to serve as a key leader within the Project Management organization.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage project safety, quality, and risk effectively.
Experience in managing project budgets and schedules to meet financial and timeline targets.
