Job Description
A hands-on, field-based role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing large-scale commercial rooftop solar assets, while providing technical leadership, diagnostics, and mentorship to junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize large-scale commercial rooftop solar assets
- Handle advanced diagnostics of solar systems
- Support commissioning activities for solar projects
- Mentor junior technicians in technical skills and procedures
- Work closely with Asset Management, Engineering, and Construction teams to ensure system performance
Requirements
- Experience as a solar professional with hands-on, field-based work in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing large-scale commercial rooftop solar assets.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems related to solar systems.
- Experience in taking ownership of system performance and acting as a technical leader in the field.
- Proficiency in handling advanced diagnostics of solar systems.
- Experience supporting commissioning activities for solar assets.
- Ability to mentor junior technicians and work collaboratively with Asset Management, Engineering, and Construction teams.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing commercial rooftop solar assets.
- Strong technical knowledge of solar system components and operations.
- Physical ability to perform hands-on, field-based work on solar installations.
- Experience working in Illinois or willingness to work in Illinois.
- Relevant technical certifications or training related to solar or electrical systems (implied by the need for advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting skills).
