This position involves working under a Licensed Architect to develop technical aspects of architectural projects, including design, coordination, detailing, site visits, and ensuring quality standards, while leading and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to design, production, coordination, and detailing of architectural projects.
Prepare design sketches and site plans of moderate to complex scope.
Coordinate engineering systems with engineers and consultants.
Assist in carrying through design intent and project documentation.
Communicate project status, design intent, and updates to stakeholders.
Perform field site observations and visits.
Integrate performance-based and sustainable design strategies into projects.
Ensure technical quality and compliance through QA/QC processes.
Supervise, train, and lead work of interns and less experienced team members.
Take leadership roles in project team meetings and project execution.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field required.
Minimum 8 years of related professional experience required.
Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
CDT and LEED accreditation preferred.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
Must be a critical thinker and highly analytical.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build rapport with the project team and coordinate effectively.
Ability to independently contribute to design, production, coordination, and architectural detailing as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience preparing design sketches of moderate to complex site plans.
Experience assisting in coordination of engineering systems with engineers and consultants.
Experience performing field site observations, including frequent physical walk-through of sites.
Ability to facilitate integration of performance-based and sustainable design strategies into design solutions.
Experience enforcing QA QC process standards and ensuring all statutory project requirements are achieved.
Experience supervising, monitoring, training, and directing work of interns and less experienced team members.
Ability to take a leadership role within the project team and in team meetings.
